J.Lo skins Marc at AMA show
Jennifer Lopez had more than a shimmering, nearly nude body suit in her arsenal to upstage her estranged husband, Marc Anthony, at the American Music Awards — she also made sure she performed before he did and with a much bigger production.
The superstar “Idol” judge danced provocatively in a skintight bodysuit on the Sunday night show, with her new, muscled, 24-year-old boy toy, Casper Smart, dancing shirtless nearby.
Daniel Radcliffe set to portray gay poet Allen Ginsberg in new film
Daniel Radcliffe has reportedly been cast to portray Allen Ginsberg in a new play about the poet’s life.
Kill Your Darlings will chart the gay poet’s relationships with Beat Generation writer Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr, who was imprisoned for two years for murdering his stalker.
Ginsberg, who died in 1997, was open about his sexuality in the 1940s, and listed his partner Peter Orlovsky as his spouse in a Who’s Who entry.
2012 Grammy nominations: Adele, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters lead the musical pack
Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Bon Iver also up for nominations at music awards show
In hard numbers, Kanye West earned the most nominations for this year’s Grammys (a whopping 7). But in the categories that count — Album, Song and Record of the Year — it’s two other stars who have a chance to sweep. To the surprise of no one, the year’s biggest selling artist, Adele, bagged nods in all the top slots: Song and Record for her smash “Rolling In The Deep,” and Album for her second CD, “21.”

Liza Minnelli to guest-star on 'Hot in Cleveland'
As if Hot in Cleveland weren’t already sparkly and fabulous enough with the likes of Betty White (and her always-bedazzled jump suits!) leading the way, the show’s about to get another serious injection of razzle-dazzle: Stage and screen legend Liza Minnelli has signed on to guest-star on the TV Land sitcom for one episode, sources have confirmed. TVLine first reported the news.
The legend — who won an Oscar for Cabaret back in 1973 and has popped up more recently in fare ranging from Arrested Development to Sex and the City 2 — is set to play the agent of fading actress Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick). It’s a perfect time, in fact, for Chase’s agent to show up, as she’s seen a story line this season that focused on her trying to nab a talk show gig in New York City.
The Brant Brothers: The World’s Luckiest Teenage Homosexuals
It's official, I am completely obsessed with openly gay socialite Peter Brant II and his (potentially gay) younger brother Harry. Screw Glee's Kurt Hummell, every gay teen on earth pretty much wishes they were either of these kids. They're just spectacularly amazing.
I want to write a young adult novel series based on these two called Gossip Gays about them being young and attractive and rich and just downright awesome as they flutter from St. Bart's to New York to Paris, attending all the best parties and sneaking champagne on the sly. (All lit agents out there, that is a serious pitch.) The pair are the progeny of billionaire Peter Brant Sr and supermodel Stephanie Seymour. They will one day potentially be worth worth billions on their own—if they don't spend all their money on clothes first.
Meet Marc Jacobs’ Supposed Latest Porn Star Boyfriend
Everyone is a twittering that Marc Jacobs has landed himself another gay porn paramour. This time it's Harry Louis, a Brazillian model famous for doing shoots dressed in suits and his other, um, gifts south of the equator. Marc Jacobs is so fucking lucky. The gossip started on a Brazilian site a few weeks back before being picked up by gay porn obsessives. It seems that Harry tweeted a picture of himself with the fashion designer (see above) that said, "What a great weekend thanks to the sweetest guy on earth, Marc Jacobs, see you soon in Paris baby."
Liza Minnelli Reveals Intimate Details On NJPAC Performance, 'Hot In Cleveland' Role And Judy Garland
She's captivated standing-room-only audiences across the globe, nabbed an Oscar for her role in a celebrated Hollywood musical and held court amongst New York's famed glitterati at Studio 54.
However, one week before she is set to take the stage at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Feb. 4, Liza Minnelli has something considerably less glamorous on her agenda: a visit to the dentist.
Calling just minutes following her appointment, Minnelli apologizes in advance if she is difficult to understand over the telephone. Of course, something as minor as dental anesthetics would never be able to numb this ever-shining star; after all, it's Minnelli's well-established survival skills -- not to mention her unique brand of wide-eyed, precocious spunk -- that helped make her a gay icon for multiple generations, with a legacy rivaling only her legendary (and similarly tenacious) mother, Judy Garland.
Smash: TV Review
Call it "Glee" for grown-ups if you must. But this behind-the-scenes look at casting and launching a broadway musical has more gravitas, excellent acting and an insider's knowledge of the competitive drive to stardom. A cable-quality drama that will be looking for viewers.
There are multiple ways to look at the very conception of Smash, the Broadway musical theater drama for NBC. It was originally developed at Showtime when Robert Greenblatt, now heading NBC, was running the pay cable channel. So the narrow constraints of the premise make sense – it could have been perfect on cable. It was also an idea that came from Steven Spielberg and nobody in the television business has been able to say no to him for, well, ever. Which means it was likely to get made no matter what.
And the adorable part is Greenblatt bringing it over to NBC, walking it into the big tent and promoting the hell out of it (airing the night after the Super Bowl, no doubt with ad support, following one of the rare NBC hits, The Voice). It’s almost like Smash was a remembrance of things past for Greenblatt – a gewgaw from the gilded world of cable, useless in the brutal world of mass entertainment. And then there is this other way to look at it: Smash is excellent, a bar-raiser for broadcast networks. It may be pigeonholed as Glee for grown-ups, but Smash could be the first series to take America’s fascination with singing shows (one of its main stars is singer-turned-actress Katharine McPhee, the beloved American Idol runner-up in 2006) and mix it with a well-written drama to create something of more substance than Glee.
Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres Partner for ABC Sitcom Pilot
Partners in life and business, Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres, are teaming up for a project that DeGeneres is executive producing and that will star de Rossi, according to Entertainment Weekly.
ABC has ordered a pilot of The Smart One, about a “brilliant and successful woman who begrudgingly goes to work for her less-brainy but more popular sister – a former beauty queen, weather girl and now big-city Mayor,” according to the show’s logline released on EW.
De Rossi and DeGeneres are keeping busy separately and together with announcements earlier this week that DeGeneres would be the new spokeswoman for JcPenney and that de Rossi would reprise her role as the hilariously self-absorbed Lindsay Bluth for a new season of Arrested Development that will air on Netflix.
Additionally, the couple is currently in the process of opening a vegan eatery in Los Angeles’ Studio City, area with business partner, Pretenders front woman, Chrissie Hynde, LAist has reported.

Kath & Kim star Magda Szubanski comes out
Magda Szubanski, star of hit Australian comedy Kath & Kim has revealed she is a lesbian and questioned why serial killers have more right to marriage than gays.
British-born Szubanski, 50, plays Sharon Strzelecki, best friend of one of the award-winning show’s two main characters.
She made the announcement for Valentine’s Day on Australia’s Channel 10 and announced she was “1000 per cent” behind gay marriage.
She said: “We pay taxes, fight wars for this country, nurse you when you are sick, make you laugh, sing and dance for you, play netball for you, star in your movies, cook your meals, decorate your store windows.
“And, chances are, gay people designed whatever it is you’re wearing.

The Jim French Diaries
Wow. Just wow. This is, in every sense a "heavy" book. That is, it is the ultimate coffee table tome of gay male erotic art photography. It’s also "heavy" in the ’60s sense of being full of profound insights, both in the extensive interviews physique photography collector Robert Mainardi conducted with Colt Studio founder Jim French; and in the depth, definition, color precision and placement of the perfect male specimens depicted.
Oh yes: It also weighs a ton. This is truly gay male erotica elevated to High Art. German publisher Bruno Gmünder deserves the highest accolades for such careful reproductions of these gorgeous photographs. This book ranks with the finest products of art publishers such as Rizzoli, Taschen or Abrams.
